BomPromo Brno desk
Brno, Czechia · issue 41 · Thursday 17 September 2026

A discount is only a saving if the terms still say what the leaflet said.

BomPromo is a two-person desk on Dominikánská that reads the campaign terms behind Czech retail promotions and seasonal sales: discount windows, voucher minimums, cashback mechanics, bundle clauses. We compare each retailer's current terms against the copy we saved last time, note what actually moved, and keep the whole thing in one dated table on this page.

Once a week, on Thursday, the same log goes out as a short email called the Promo Sheet. Nothing is sent on any other day, and nobody pays to appear in either place.

What changed, retailer by retailer

Every row below is one promotion whose published terms differ from the version we held before. The date is the day we confirmed the change ourselves, not the day the retailer announced it. Rows stay on the table for about four weeks.

Promotion changes confirmed by the BomPromo desk between 20 August and 17 September 2026, listed by date, retailer, what changed and whether the change was new, tightened, widened or ended.
Date Retailer What changed Status
Zelný Trh Market Card The flat 10% member discount goes on 1 October and is replaced by points that can only be spent on own-brand lines. tightened
Kraví Hora Denim Sale goods now get the same 60-day return window as full-price stock, as long as the tags are attached. The sign by the till still shows the old wording. widened
Špilberk Fashion Circle The mid-season markdown window closes on 28 September, and the second markdown replaces these prices rather than stacking on them. ended
Dornych Home Bundle Kitchen orders over 12,000 CZK placed before 31 October now include assembly, normally charged at 1,900 CZK. new
Brno Electron Club Cashback claims filed from 1 October are paid into a club balance with a six-month life instead of by bank transfer. The percentage has not moved. tightened
Bosonohy Farm Card The monthly 100 CZK voucher now needs a 500 CZK basket, down from 800. Still one voucher per card per month. widened
Tuřany Fuel Card Double-points weekends stop on 30 September. Points already banked keep their twelve-month life, so there is no rush to spend them. ended
Vinohrady Food Card The weekly double-points day moves from Wednesday to Monday. Nothing else about the card has changed. tightened
Svitava Travel Bundle "Consecutive nights" has gone from the bundle clause, so a single night elsewhere in the middle of a stay now breaks the 15% reduction. tightened
Lužánky Loyalty Card Points no longer zero out after a calendar month without a purchase; the balance carries over. Expiry is now printed on the receipt. widened
Královo Pole Audio Any working pair of over-ear headphones adds 20% to the trade-in valuation against a new set, capped at 1,500 CZK. In-ear models are excluded. new
Slatina Home Store Paint mixing is credited back on any tin over five litres, own-brand range only. Nothing in the shop says so; ask at the counter, not the order desk. widened
Žabovřesky Garden Centre Bulb and seed orders over 1,500 CZK now include delivery inside Brno, previously charged at 149 CZK. new
Bystrc Pet Supply The tenth-bag-free stamp card is retired at the end of September. Stamps already collected have to be redeemed before then. ended
Líšeň Coffee Roasters Subscription customers may pause for up to three months instead of one, and the roast date is now printed on the bag rather than the box. widened
Obřany Bike Works The free first service now applies only to bikes bought at full price. Reduced models pay 450 CZK for it. tightened
Medlánky Bakery Card A bread-and-pastry bundle at 89 CZK for orders collected before 9am, one per customer per day. new
Řečkovice Bookshop The loyalty stamp book is discontinued. Orders placed from September no longer earn stamps, and the old book has no cash value. ended

Some retailers on the table trade under a name we have shortened for the page; where that is the case the row says so in the issue. If the terms look different in your shop, write to [email protected] and we will recheck the row and correct it in the next issue.

How we check

Every row starts with the retailer's own paper: the leaflet by the door, the campaign page, the notice taped to the counter. A screenshot forwarded by a reader is a lead and nothing more, and it sits in the folder until we have seen the original ourselves. Where a shop publishes terms as a dated document, we keep a copy at the desk so the next version can be put beside it.

A change counts as a change only when two documents genuinely differ. For retailers we follow closely we hold a dated archive, and most weeks the honest answer is that nothing moved. When something has, and the offer is one a reader could reach, one of us takes it to a till and notes the total on the receipt; what survives a checkout is regularly less generous than the leaflet suggests. Where we cannot test it, we ask the retailer in writing and publish nothing until they answer.

Confirmed rows go into the Promo Sheet on Thursday and onto the table above as soon as they are closed, because a deadline does not wait for a send. When we get something wrong, the correction appears in the next issue and the row is marked as corrected rather than quietly rewritten. If a retailer tells us they have changed a term back, the row stays and the reversal is logged as well.

The Promo Sheet, issue 41

One email a week, written by the two of us, sent on Thursday. It carries the same entries as the table above plus the reasoning behind the ones that need it: why a cap can matter more than a headline percentage, which "change" is really a rewording, and what has to be done before a date passes. This is the current issue in web form.

If you arrived here from the email, the voucher code for this issue is below the summary. If you found this page some other way, the code still works until it expires, and it is the same code every reader receives.

Worth a second look: the headphone trade-in bonus

Královo Pole Audio adds 20% to whatever it values your old over-ear pair at, provided the pair still works and you take the new set on the same day. The part nobody mentions at the counter is the cap: the bonus stops at 1,500 CZK, so on a premium pair the ceiling bites long before the 20% does.

We ran the numbers against the two other shops we track that take trade-ins. On a mid-range pair the bonus came out roughly 400 CZK ahead; on a top-of-the-line pair the other two paid more in cash, because the cap swallowed the difference. If you are trading up to something expensive, this is not the promotion for you.

Enter it at the checkout on the campaign's own page, reached through the button beside this text. The code belongs to the campaign and not to us, it stops working on 30 September 2026, and BomPromo is not paid when it is used.

Also in this issue

Ending soon: three promotions in the table reach their last day before the next sheet goes out, and one of them — the fuel card's double-points weekends — is not worth a special trip. On a fifty-litre fill the extra points came to about 60 CZK in our test, which a detour of more than a few kilometres will eat.

Reader questions: four arrived this week. Two concerned individual claims rather than campaign terms and were answered privately; the other two are in the email, including one about whether a cashback claim filed in September is affected by the October change. It is not — anything filed before 1 October is still paid by transfer, so if you have a September receipt, file it now.

About the code

One voucher code per issue, offered to every reader on identical terms. It belongs to the campaign on the page the button opens, the campaign sets its own expiry and conditions, and we receive nothing when it is used. We pick the offer before anyone is asked for anything.

How we email

If a message from BomPromo reached your inbox, this is what you should expect from us, and how to make it stop if you want it to.

What we send

The Promo Sheet: a written summary of confirmed changes to retail promotion and campaign terms, with the table above as its backbone. Now and then a short correction, if we got something wrong in an earlier issue. We do not send promotional mail of our own, and we do not send anything on behalf of a retailer.

How often

Once a week, on Thursday. Corrections are rare and never amount to a second message in the same week. There is no daily digest, no "last chance" reminder and no separate marketing list.

How to unsubscribe

Every issue carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom; it works in one click and takes effect immediately. If you would rather not use the link, write to [email protected] with "unsubscribe" in the subject and we remove you within ten days, by hand. Replying "stop" to any issue works as well.

Our privacy notice explains what we hold about subscribers — an email address, a sign-up date, and delivery events. Our terms of use explain how to read the table.

About the desk

BomPromo started in 2024 as a shared notebook between two friends in Brno who kept losing money to promotions they had already qualified for: a voucher that quietly expired, a cashback window that closed on the thirtieth day, a bundle whose free assembly turned out to need booking at the time of order. The notebook became a habit, the habit became a weekly email to a few dozen people, and the email became this desk.

We still run it from a small office on Dominikánská, a few minutes from the vegetable market. We are not affiliated with any retailer on the table, we do not sell placement in it, and we take no commission from anyone named here. If you run a promotion and think we have read your terms wrong, write to [email protected]; corrections go into the next issue.

What we know about you, and what we do with it

The short version: if you subscribe, we hold your email address and the date you joined. If you only read the page, we hold nothing about you. The details follow.

Who is responsible

The data controller is BomPromo, an editorial desk operated from Dominikánská 9, 602 00 Brno, Czechia. You can reach us at [email protected] or by post at that address. We are small enough that the person answering is one of the two editors.

This notice is written to meet the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which applies to us because we are established in Czechia, and the United States CAN-SPAM Act, which applies to any commercial email we might send to readers in the United States.

If you subscribe to the Promo Sheet

We keep the minimum needed to send you a weekly email and to show that you asked for it:

Subscriber data held by BomPromo, with the reason and the legal basis for each item.
WhatWhyLegal basis
Your email addressTo deliver the Promo SheetConsent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a))
The date and source of your request, for example "emailed on 4 March 2026"To show the subscription was requested, and to answer "when did I sign up?"Legitimate interest in demonstrating consent
Whether an issue was delivered, bounced, opened or had a link clickedTo remove addresses that no longer work and to see which sections readers useLegitimate interest in running the list properly

We do not ask for your name, and if you give it in an email we do not add it to the list. We do not buy, rent or scrape addresses, and we never add an address that did not ask to be there. If you believe your address was subscribed by someone else, tell us and we remove it and note where it came from.

Open and click tracking is a standard feature of the sending service we use. We look at it in aggregate — for instance, "the ending-soon section was opened by 61% of readers". We do not build profiles of individual readers and we do not use the data to send anyone different content.

If you visit the website

bompromo.com is a single static page. There is no analytics script, no advertising, no tracking pixel and no cookie set by us. The only third-party request the page makes is to Google Fonts for the typefaces; Google's handling of that request is covered by Google's privacy policy. If you would rather not make that request, your browser's font-blocking or content-blocking settings will stop it and the page falls back to system fonts.

Our hosting provider keeps ordinary web-server logs (IP address, requested page, time, browser string) for security and troubleshooting. They are rotated automatically and we do not export or analyse them.

If you write to us

Emails to [email protected] are kept in our mailbox so we can answer them and, where a reader reports a campaign change, so we can show later what we were told and when. Correspondence that leads to a published correction is kept for as long as the correction is relevant; other messages are deleted after two years.

If you ask a question that we answer in the Promo Sheet, we quote it without your name or any identifying detail unless you ask us to credit you.

Services we rely on

  • Email delivery. The Promo Sheet is sent through ElasticEmail, a transactional and marketing email service. ElasticEmail stores the subscriber list on our behalf, handles unsubscribe requests made through the link in each issue, and records delivery and engagement events. It is bound by a data processing agreement and may process data on servers inside and outside the European Economic Area under standard contractual clauses.
  • Web hosting. The site is served from a hosting provider in the European Union that keeps the server logs described above.
  • Typefaces. Google Fonts, as described in the visitors section.

Nobody else receives subscriber data. We do not sell it, share it with the retailers on the table, or use it for anything other than sending the Promo Sheet and running the list.

How long we keep things

  • Subscriber email address and sign-up record: until you unsubscribe, plus 30 days so that the removal can be shown if questioned. After that it is deleted from the sending service and from our records.
  • Delivery and engagement events: 12 months, then deleted.
  • Correspondence: two years, or longer where it supports a published correction.
  • Server logs: handled by the hosting provider on a rolling basis, typically 30 days.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, give it to you in a portable format, or object to our processing. You can withdraw consent to the Promo Sheet at any time by unsubscribing; that does not affect anything done before you withdrew.

To exercise any of these, email [email protected] from the address in question, or write to the postal address above. We answer within one month. There is no charge.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Czech supervisory authority, the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (ÚOOÚ), at Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, or to the authority in your own EU country. We would appreciate the chance to fix the problem first, but you are not required to give us one.

Children

The Promo Sheet is about retail promotions and is not aimed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly keep the address of anyone under 16; if you tell us we have one, we delete it.

Changes to this notice

When we change this notice we update the version and date at the top of the section and mention the change in the next issue. Changes that expand what we collect will not apply to existing subscribers unless they agree.

Version 3 (September 2026): added the paragraph on Google Fonts and clarified retention of engagement events. Version 2 (January 2026): named ElasticEmail as the sending service. Version 1 (June 2025): first published.

How to read the table, and the rules for using this site

We try hard to be right. These terms explain what that promise covers, what it does not, and what we ask of you in return.

Who we are

BomPromo is an editorial desk based at Dominikánská 9, 602 00 Brno, Czechia. It is run by two editors and publishes the website at bompromo.com and a weekly email called the Promo Sheet. Contact: [email protected].

By reading the site or the Promo Sheet you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use them; we will not be offended.

What the table and the Promo Sheet are

The weekly table and the Promo Sheet are journalism about the published terms of retail promotions and seasonal sales campaigns. Each row describes an offer, a change to it, the date we last confirmed it, and how it was confirmed. Both are written for a general reader and are not legal, financial or consumer advice.

Retailers appear on the table because readers ask about them. Where a campaign is small or local, or where we have not obtained permission to describe it in full, we may use a shortened or descriptive name rather than the retailer's own. Any resemblance to a promotion we do not track is a coincidence and should be reported so we can fix it.

Accuracy and verification

Every row passes the checks described under How we check before it is published. We work from primary sources, compare against an archived copy, test at the till where we can, and publish weekly. The date on a row is our most recent confirmation.

Retailers change their campaign terms without telling us, sometimes on the day we publish. A row is therefore a statement that on the date shown, the terms said this, not a guarantee that they still do. Before relying on an offer for something that matters, read the retailer's current terms yourself. If they differ from ours, tell us and we will recheck and correct.

Corrections are published in the next issue and applied to the table as soon as they are confirmed. We do not silently edit rows; a corrected row says it was corrected.

Independence

BomPromo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or paid by any retailer on the table or in the Promo Sheet. We do not sell placement, accept sponsorship for rows, or earn referral commissions from the retailers we cover. Nobody outside the desk sees an issue before it is sent.

We pay for our own shopping. Where a retailer has given us a voucher or a complimentary item for testing, the relevant row says so.

Voucher codes and outbound links

Each issue may include one voucher code and a link to the campaign's own page. The code belongs to the retailer, not to us; the retailer sets its terms, its expiry, and what it can be used for. We publish it because we think the offer is worth a reader's attention and for no other reason. We receive nothing when a code is used.

Links from this site or the Promo Sheet to other websites are provided for convenience. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their content or for what happens after you leave bompromo.com.

The Promo Sheet email

The Promo Sheet is sent only to people who asked for it, once a week, with an unsubscribe link in every issue. Our full commitments are in the How we email section and in the privacy notice. Forwarding an issue to a friend is welcome; adding someone else's address to our list is not, and we remove any address whose owner tells us they did not subscribe.

Using this site

You may read, link to and share this page freely. You may not scrape the table to republish it as a dataset or feed, present our rows as your own, attempt to gain access to parts of the server not meant for visitors, or use the site in a way that interferes with other people's use of it.

Copyright and quoting

The text, layout and mark of BomPromo are © BomPromo. Retailer and campaign names belong to their owners. You may quote rows for review, commentary or reporting with a credit and, online, a link to this page. Reproducing an entire issue or the whole table needs our written permission; ask at [email protected] and we are likely to say yes.

Limits of our responsibility

The site and the Promo Sheet are provided as they are, free of charge. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on a row, from a retailer changing or withdrawing an offer, from a voucher code not working, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Czech or applicable consumer law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Czechia. Disputes are subject to the courts of Brno, except where consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

Changes to these terms

We update the version and date at the top of this section when the terms change, and we mention the change in the next issue. Version 2 (September 2026): added the section on voucher codes. Version 1 (June 2025): first published.
